Reduced fare transportation for residents of Northern Winnebago County, Cities of Neenah and Menasha, aged 60 yrs. + Required ID and tickets can be obtained at the Menasha Senior Center office. Call MSC at 967-3530 or the City of Neenah , 920-886-6125.
2-1-1 is the number to call for non emergency health and human services. Now, with one easy to remember number, #2-1-1, individuals in the entire Fox River Vallley can find resources in the community to assist them with their non-emergency health and human services needs, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. United Way Fox Cities provides this 2-1-1 service to Outagamie, Calumet , Waupaca and Winnebago counties.
Crime prevention is everybody's business and seniors are easy targets! So be cautious, remain vigilant and know that your local police department has crime prevention staff available to help you. File of Life provides emergency personnel with pertinent information regarding medications, emergency contacts, doctors, medical conditions and allergies; Keeps information in a magnetic holder placed on your refrigerator door and a smaller version is kept in your billfold or wallet; provides a sticker for your front door as well as the rear window of you vehicle to alert medical personnel that you have a File of Life; it's provided at no charge but donations to help support the program are appreciated. Benefit Specialist Services-Winnebago County
Through the Winnebago County Dept. of Human Services, Long Term Support Division-Elderly Services, you have a Benefit Specialist who can help you with governmental programs and concerns affecting older persons. They serve seniors 60yrs. of age and older regardless of income, will not charge a fee for services. Confidentiality is maintained.
