Notice to teams relating to COVID-19 impacts on the upcoming season
We are committed to and are still preparing to have league play in 2020. The following information relates mostly to registering your team. We will post updates as needed.
- Register your team by submitting a team registration form and roster
- Do not submit any portion of the entry fee at this time. A new date for submitting fees will be established as needed.
- The April 15th Captains Meeting is cancelled.
- Eric Schaefer, with Fox Valley Athletics will again be overseeing the leagues. He will continue to communicate with captains on a regular basis
- Modifications to the game schedule may be needed. This could include things like a later start to the season, some double headers, a partial season, etc. If needed, fees will be pro-rated.
- The West Diamond has been removed. All games will take place on the East Diamond.
- No team practice reservations will be accepted until further notice.

Team Registration Dates:Returning teams have until March 23 to reserve their spot in a league!
Open registration March 24-April 13 or until leagues are full.
2020 Captains' Packet
A minimum of half the Entry Fee ($263 for Men's League or $238 for CoEd League) is due along with a completed registration form and roster during announced registration period. Entry fee is non-refundable, but does guarantee your team a spot in the league.
REMAINDER OF ENTRY FEE must be paid no later than Friday, April 24, 2020. Failure to have all completed paperwork and fees to the MPRD office by this deadline will result in game forfeiture until all missing and/or incomplete information is received.
The minimum roster size is 12, the maximum is 20. Any player may be added until Friday, June 19, 2020. All players must read and initial the roster/participation agreement form before the captain registers his/her team.
Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Menasha City Center (100 Main Street, First Floor) at 6:15pm for Men's teams and 6:45pm for Coed teams.
Schedules will be mailed / emailed to team captains once finalized.
Reserving Fields for Practice: Reservations for city ball diamonds are taken at the Park and Recreation office at City Hall. Reservations are limited to two-hour segments with no more than two practices per two-week period. There is no charge for reservations; however, a manager or player must make the request and have the confirmation e-mailed to them in order to reserve a diamond. Practice availability will be based on field conditions. Call (920)967-3640 or email Lori at firstname.lastname@example.org for diamond availability.
Playing Unregistered Players: The player will be suspended for two games and team will receive a one-game forfeit of a future game or past game if no games remain. Future violations could bring a complete team suspension from present or future league play. Add-A-Player form
Bats and Balls: All bats used for play in any Menasha league must have a small "approved" sticker on it. Bring your bats to the Captain's meeting for sticker placement. This is your best option for getting bats approved. Bats with a Neenah or Appleton sticker do not need Menasha approval. Bats will be limited to a 1.20 BPF (Bat Performance Factor). BPF is marked on new bats. New bats should not exceed 1.20 BPF and national softball organizations (ASA, USSSA) support a BPF limit. A lengthy list of approved bats can be found at www.asasoftball.com under Equipment Certification. In rare cases a bat with a 2000 or 2004 ASA certification mark may now be banned. Visit the ASA website or stop by the MPRD office to check on a bat before you commit to purchasing it. ASA .52 Core 300 compression ball is used. PLEASE NOTE: if you plan to bring a bat to City Hall for approval, you must make an appointment with PRD Tungate. You can set this appointment by calling (920)967-3641 or by e-mail.
League Rules: Hard copies/emailed copies available upon request. Rules are subject to change at anytime. Captains are responsible for briefing their players on the league rules.
