Getting on the Ballot
Nomination Papers

All completed nomination paperwork must be submitted to the Office of the City Clerk, 100 Main Street, Suite 200, Menasha, WI 54952. To obtain a copy of the nomination papers, please visit the Wisconsin Election Commission website or visit the Clerk's Office to pick up a packet.

Important Dates & Deadlines:
December 1, 2021 - First day for candidates to begin nomination papers for the 2022 Spring Election (Wis. Stat. §8.10(2)(a))
January 4, 2021 - Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for candidates to file nomination papers, declarations of candidacy, and campaign registration statements for the 2022 Spring Election with the City Clerk (Wis. Stats. §8.10(2)(a) & 8.21)

Notification of Non-Candidacy Filing Deadline
The statutory deadline for municipal incumbents not seeking reelection to file a written notification stating that they do not intend to run for reelection to their current office with the City Clerk is December 24, 2021 (5:00 p.m.). Please complete the following Notice of Non-candidacy form. Failure to notify the Clerk will extend the nomination paper deadline 72 hours for that office (Wis. Stats. §8.10(2)(a)120.06(6)(b)3-2).
