The photos show the Menasha Police Department Honor Guard training to perform a funeral ceremony for a fallen officer. Laemmrich's Funeral Home and St. Mary Church and Cemetery allowed us to practice in their facilities. Laemmrich's Funeral Home provided a lot of assistance to our instructor and the Honor Guard team. The Menasha Honor Guard appears at police officer funerals and memorials across the state as well as the Memorial Day and Labor Day parades. The majority of the additional costs for the dress uniforms are raised through fundraising activities. We will continue our fundraising efforts to keep our equipment in top notch shape and everyone properly uniformed. If you would like to contribute or find out when the next fundraiser is, contact Lt. Larry Bonneville (920-967-3517).
