The City of Menasha Police Department provides full 24 hour a day public
protection service to the community. The department serves approximately 16,200
residents,
patrolling 6.33 square miles, 4,055 acres and 61.57 miles of streets.
The Department
is staffed by:
- Chief of Police Robert G. Stanke
- Lieutenant of Investigative Services Ronald Bouchard
- Three Officers assigned to Investigative Services
- Two Officers assigned to Police School Liaison Positions
- One Officer assigned to Crime Reduction
- One Officer assigned to the Lake Winnebago Enforcement Group
as an Investigator
- Operations Lieutenant Michael Brunn
- Five Supervisory Lieutenants
- 16 Officers Assigned to Patrol
In addition we have:
- One full time Records Clerk
- One full time Traffic Clerk
- Five full time Police Support Staff
We also have a Community Service Program committed to 56 hours a week of coverage,
a 12 member police auxiliary unit and 13 school crossing guards. The department
utilizes 5 marked patrol vehicles, 1 evidence vehicle, 1 community service van
and 3 unmarked squads. All squads are equipped with Mobile Data Computers and
each officer is assigned a personal portable radio. Department equipment is
updated on a regular basis and is generally in excellent condition.
Training is extensively encouraged and emphasized within the department. Supervisory
staff are expected to attend either the Southern Police Institute, Northwestern
University or the F.B.I. National Academy for extensive supervisory training.
Currently, of the 32 sworn officers, 20 have received Bachelor's degrees, 10
an Associate degree, 1 a Master's degree, and 1 with some college credit.
