Summer Park and Recreation:

Summer Recreation Positions

Adult Softball – Slow-pitch umpires and scorekeepers needed. Leagues held on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings. Reliability is an absolute requirement. Minimum age for scorekeepers is 15. Approximately 6-12 hours per week.

Swimming Pool Water Safety Instructors (WSI), Certified Lifeguards, First-aid and Pro-CPR Certification required prior to work. WSI class reimbursement available. Hours per week vary by position. Pool is open for public swim daily from 1:00-8:00 p.m. When in session, lessons are from 9:25 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Seasonal Vacancy:

Yard Attendant

Public Works

The position(s) starts on April 25th and is scheduled to end November 25th

The hours are M-F 3pm-5pm and Saturday 8am-1pm

The hourly rate is $10.00 per hour

Essential Job Functions

  • Greet the public, answer inquiries, and provide general information about the City's Public Works Facility and programs, and refer public to appropriate sources of information.
  • Open and close the recycle/yard waste center ensuring facility is properly secured.
  • Ensure minimal contamination in each of the recyclable containers by prohibiting and physically removing improper materials.
  • Handle/lift/rearrange recyclables and recyclable containers and special wastes.
  • Check each citizen for residency and compliance with our mandatory recycling programs.
  • Identify, document and report any violations to the Public Works Superintendent.
  • Accept and record payment for disposal fees, reconcile monies and compile daily site usage reports.
  • Maintain Drop-off site and grounds in a presentable manner.
  • Has the authority to reject loads that contain materials not accepted at the Drop-off site.

         •  Make frequent contact with the general public requiring courtesy 

          Must adhere to the City's safety policies.

  • Perform other related job duties as assigned.  

Job Requirements:

•  A High School diploma or equivalent.

•  Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

•  Ability to establish effective communications with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.

•  Ability to work independently

•  Ability to read and comply with safety policies and procedures.

•  Ability to work out of doors in somewhat undesirable conditions due to exposure to the elements.

•  Valid Wisconsin Driver's license.
