City of Menasha
Two districts are targeted each year for planting. If you live in a targeted
district, you will receive a 50% deduction on the cost of a tree purchased by
the City. If you are not in a targeted district, you can still order a tree
at full cost. Trees must be planted in the front yard setback and be maintained
by the resident. All other guidelines listed under the Tree Planting and Care
Policy apply. For more information, contact the City Forester at 967-3642.
Did you know that
trees can save you energy and money?
Properly planted around your home, shade trees can lower your cooling costs
in summer. Trees that shade the south or west sides of the building can reduce
air conditioning costs in summer. When the leaves fall in the winter, bare trees
allow warm sunlight to reach your home.
We want to help more people in our community enjoy the benefits of trees. For
a limited time, we're offering a cost rebate equal to 50% of the purchase price
(up to $50 per tree) when you buy and plant deciduous trees. Certain restrictions
apply.
